Notes on the Itinerary:

The first part of the trip will have us spending our diving days in the action packed channels of the Deep South. We'll begin our journey in Addu Atoll known for a fantastic manta cleaning station along with a special visit to Fuvahmulah to dive with tiger sharks just outside Tiger Zoo.  From here we'll continue north to Huvadhoo Atoll and dive some amazing channels (Vilingilli, Koodoo, Nilandhoo, and Mareehaa), packed with lots of sharks, eagle rays, turtles, as well as attempt a blue water dive for hammerheads. Here we'll also have a chance for whale sharks (diving and at night). In 2024 Kim & the Carpe Novo Dive Team leader, Maazin got to name a new whale shark that visited the boat at night. We'll continue our journey north from Huvadhoo to Laamu Atoll looking for additional shark species, like zebra sharks & silky sharks. Laamu is also a hotspot for mantas. As we dive our way back to Male we'll head to Thaa, Meemu, Vaavu, and South Male Atolls continuing our quest for additional shark, manta and whale shark action along with the famous Alimatha tawny nurse shark nigtht dive before arriving back in Hulhumale.
